IE7 or FF 2.0

Two more days left before Microsoft starts pushing IE7 as a security update through Automatic Windows Updates. FF 2.0 is also out but it breaks compatibility with SessionSaver and a few other goodies. A pitty that Microsoft and Mozilla didn't integrate session saving by default; Opera has been working like this for years.

umm - firefox now has session saving built in... at least it's been saving my sessions (often when i didn't even want it to)... it reloads tabs and even data entered into forms... my website login sessions stay active too, no need re-enter my credentials...

i actually think i prefer my sessions to be more ephemeral...

You can tweak the way Firefox 2 works regarding sessions setting the browser.startup.page key in the about:config options to 3. There are other good tips as well on Lifehacker...

Thanks guys - I got it working now.

Problem was, it was too obviously hidden just in the Main/Startup preferences tab, while I was looking for a plugin or advanced setting to do that.

Main/Startup/When Firefox starts - Show my windows and tabs from last time. Or directly in about:config, like David suggested. :-)

Cheers!
