I am pretty sure I know the feeling when you are about to use a backup, and are crossing your fingers to see if it is working as you restore. It happened to me very recently, and I was lucky that my backup did actually work, and I lost very little in terms of emails, or documents. One of these days I will think about the more fundamental meaning of 'bakcup' , 'restore', our reliance on them, and their dependability.
