How far is FAR 1.70? Well, it's right here, right now!
After years of laying dormant, FAR - the ultimate Win32 file and archive manager - has just got a new version!
You can download FAR 1.70 here.
Or, put the following ULR into your downloader of choice:
http://farmanager.com/files/FarManager170.rar
Enjoy!

I stopped using Windows quite some time but it's nice to see that, even there, some things never get old. :-)
And of course, I think that text-based management is the best way to deal with files in any OS. :-)

FAR is great. Not just the best file and archive manager out there, but IMO it is also the best text-mode text editor, ever.
Would love to have FAR on Linux - after using FAR on Win32 for the past five or six years, mc on Linux feels just like having to drive a Dacia after driving a Porsche. (no offense to the mc fans out there! :)

I didn't know FAR is still alive! :) I had the opportunity to play with a Windows machine lately but I used Cygwin to;). Nice to see FAR it's still there :).
As for the editor, isn't vi the best text-mode editor, ever? ;)

As usual, YMMV. :)
