Google Virus
A lot of people have been recently complaining about error messages like the one below, while trying to search for various stuff on Google:

In my case, I was searching for "Amway" - and sure thing, no viruses (or "other spurious software") in my system, at least active ones.

Hmm, I try a lot of indecent strings - not once did I get this message. Is there a pattern?

Hm, maybe you are not "spurious" enough? :) Kidding.
No ideea about the pattern - apparently, Google is filtering certain searches (as those performed by Santy) and whenever one is found, it challanges the sender with that message. In my case, the home internet link is passing through a transparent proxy so there is a chance another user in the network was indeed infected.
But since this was also reported by users who weren't infected, it may be just a glitch on Google' side.
Cheers,
