Melting Metal
Mateias Calin (a.k.a. "Metal"), one of the most famous names in the romanian hacking scene is charged $10 million for multiple frauds and organizing an underground network which handled the goods he and his colleagues purchased using faked identities from the Internet . He risks spending up to 90 years in prison under the current legislation. Yahoo story:
Romanian Charged in $10M Hacking Fraud
The bad news is that unfortunately, he is not yet in custody. Let's hope the authorities won't let him get away - if we are to believe some stories, he is one of the main reasons for which most big US companies do not send goods to Romania.
